   The Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women, today announced that the Government of Canada has issued a Request for Proposal to acquire bullet-resistant plates to be worn by Canadian Forces members as part of their personal protective equipment.
4. Government of Canada Supports Angel Investors in Southwestern Ontario
   London, Ontario — Susan Truppe, Member of Parliament for London North Centre, on behalf of the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), today announced a new Government of Canada investment for the Southwestern Ontario Angel Group that will help the organization connect more angel investors with promising new businesses in the region.

6. Federal, Provincial and Territorial Ministers Come Together to Advance Tourism Opportunities for Canada
   Building on the momentum of the last Canadian Council of Tourism Ministers' meeting in 2010, federal, provincial and territorial tourism ministers met this week to explore how best to enhance Canada's position on the world stage. The meeting was co-chaired by the Honourable Maxime Bernier, federal Minister of State for Small Business and Tourism, and the Honourable Trevor Holder, New Brunswick's Minister of Culture, Tourism and Healthy Living.
7. Government of Canada invests to help youth in Winnipeg get jobs
   The Government of Canada announced new funding to support youth in Winnipeg to help them gain the skills, knowledge and experience they need to enter and succeed in the job market. The announcement was made by Lawrence Toet, Member of Parliament for Elmwood–Transcona, on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development.
8. Government of Canada Investing in Innovation
   Richmond Hill, Ontario – Costas Menegakis, Member of Parliament for Richmond Hill, announced a federal investment of up to $539,000 today. This investment will allow Qvella Corporation to develop and bring to market an innovative bacteria identification system.

28. Government of Canada Invests in Mississauga Nanotechnology Firm
    The Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of Industry, today announced a repayable government investment of $399,386 in a project by Integran Technologies Inc. The Mississauga-based company is developing innovative nano-structured aerospace and defence products that will offer superior performance while meeting the highest environmental standards. The contribution will be made through the Strategic Aerospace and Defence Initiative.
